Aditya Dev (Vipul Roy) and Manav Desai (Kiku Sharda) are two policemen who work under Commissioner Gogol Chatterjee (Johnny Lever). They are very different in nature but slowly start to become good friends. Dev falls in love with Aisha Natkarni (Kishwar Merchant), who is a lawyer and Desai is in love Aisha's smaller sister Dolly Natkarni (Shweta Gulati). They both live with Neena Natkarni (Ashwini Kalsekar), their mother, a widow and an old friend of Chatterjee. The story revolves around how this characters make a whole series of entertainment around the different cases the policemen solve with lots of comedy and entertainment for the audience.

Edgar, his wife and his brother-in-law are riding through the desert in a convertible to see a restaurant that Edgar has purchased sight unseen. They camp in a ghost town and Edgar sees a "Gold Nugget Restaurant" sign and it dawns on him that is his purchase. Inside, Edgar runs into two outlaws who force him to drive them to the next town. Unknown to Edgar, Sally lassos the renegades out of the back seat, while Edgar drives on in his (usual) blissful state of ignorance.

Mallika is married to an NRI Rahul by her family, in a rush. When she moves from India with him, she realizes he is in love with his boss Maya and doesn't care for his wife. How Mallika copes with this in an unknown country forms the story.

When Mohan and Chandni plan to marry, they are met with opposition from Mohan's parents, and as a result Mohan marries someone else. Rishi comes to know about this and offers to console Chandni as a friend. It is now up to Chandni to decide if she would prefer a womanizer and a former admirer as a friend.

Hence she runs away from home to pursue her dream of becoming a singer. The story unfolds as 'Pooja' meets the 'Lal' family in Mumbai and enters their household in the disguise of a cook. Her attempts to hide her true identity and at the same time live the life of a cook results in complete confusion and comic mayhem ensues in the lives of all the family members.
